The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is the primary public transportation provider in Pinellas County. PSTA’s mission is to provide safe, convenient, accessible and affordable transportation services for Pinellas County residents and visitors, and supports economic vitality, thriving communities, and an enhanced quality of life. PSTA provides fixed route bus service around Pinellas County, complementary paratransit door-to-door service, and express service to Tampa. PSTA is also the community transportation coordinator for the Transportation Disadvantaged Program.
Forward Pinellas works with PSTA and its regional partners to study, plan for, and implement the public transportation options in and around Pinellas County. This includes enhanced and alternative forms of public transportation, such as Bus Rapid Transit, waterborne options like ferries, and propelled transit like gondolas.
