Call for New Committee Members to the School Transportation Safety Committee
~~ Help shape a safer Pinellas County by joining our committee ~~
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Forward Pinellas is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer to serve as the citizen representative on Forward Pinellas’s School Transportation Safety Committee (STSC). This committee addresses school-related transportation access and safety issues, such as hazardous walking conditions, speed limit enforcement in school zones, and more. The STSC aims to improve communication and coordination between transportation agencies and the Pinellas County School District.
Typical STSC committee meeting times are three times a year on Wednesdays at 9 a.m.
Forward Pinellas committee members provide direction on issues, plans and policies that create a safer, more equitable, accessible Pinellas County. Members reflect different geographic areas and demographics with diverse knowledge and expertise who will work alongside professionals from various state and local governments to make recommendations to the Forward Pinellas Board. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
Applications are being accepted until filled. Applicants must be residents of Pinellas County and commit to physically attend regular meetings in-person. Representatives of each committee serve a maximum of two four-year terms.
