April 15, 2020: Forward Pinellas Advisory Committee meetings will be held virtually, as able and needed. The virtual meetings will be labeled as such and will provide clear instructions on how to access and participate in the meeting.
March 17, 2020: Forward Pinellas is monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 and is in close communications with Pinellas County Emergency Management to stay abreast of the latest development and recommendations. At this time, we are evaluating each committee meeting to determine how to proceed, what remote participation options may be available and state and federal regulations and guidance. Our advisory committees help shape the plans, programs and policies of Forward Pinellas. Apply to join a committee.
The PAC provides technical input and makes recommendations on matters considered by Forward Pinellas, acting as the Pinellas Planning Council.
The CAC is comprised of a cross section of representatives of the community that serve as a conduit for public input to the plans and programs of Forward Pinellas.
The TCC consists of planners, engineers and environmental protection staff that provides input on transportation matters from a technical perspective.
The BPAC includes staff from various governmental agencies, law enforcement personnel and citizens and provides input and direction on bicycle and pedestrian related issues, plans and policies.
The LCB oversees the Pinellas County Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program and consists of an elected official as chair person and representatives of social service agencies, private transportation providers, FDOT and citizens who utilize the Program.
The TMA Leadership Group consists of nine elected officials from the Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas MPOs, as well as technical advisors (the Florida Department of Transportation, the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, HART and PSTA) that advise the MPO boards of the three counties on regional matters.
The STSC is made up of local elected officials and school board members that meet to address school-related transportation access and safety issues.
The PTSTF consists of law enforcement officials and County staff and is responsible for monitoring and addressing issues related to safety on the Pinellas Trail.
In addition to our advisory committees, Forward Pinellas supports and participates in the Pinellas Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) which is comprised of local government, FDOT, law enforcement, School Board, emergency representatives and health care representatives.
The TMMAC was dissolved in June 2017 but this page remains as an archive of the committee’s work. Technology in transportation is now handled by the TCC.
