Housing Affordability Policy Workshop – Mid/South County

ADVANTAGE PINELLAS HOUSING

Across Pinellas County, our residents are struggling to find housing that they can afford. What can local governments do to help address this crisis?

As part of the Advantage Pinellas Housing Action Plan, Forward Pinellas and Pinellas County have partnered to provide technical assistance to local communities, including code assessments and model regulatory strategies to help create housing for a range of incomes. But first, we need to hear from you.

This month, we’re holding in-person Housing Affordability Policy Workshops to have conversations with your local government staff. We want to hear from you:

• What are the greatest housing challenges in your community?
• What new housing opportunities could be explored?
• What tools does your local government need to meet those challenges and opportunities?
• How can Forward Pinellas and Pinellas County help you?

As part of the workshop, each community will receive a complimentary land development code “checkup” with recommendations based on best practices for increasing housing affordability and choice.

Please join us for one of the following workshops:

• Tuesday, June 25, 10:30-12:00 p.m. at the Largo Public Library (120 Central Park Drive, Largo)
• Wednesday, June 26, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Treasure Island City Hall (10451 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island)
• Thursday, June 27, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the City of Oldsmar (127 State Street West, Oldsmar)
