About: Please join us to hear from Guest Speaker Billy Hattaway, P.E., RSP1, who will speak about using placemaking as a solution to transportation safety. Billy has 48 years of experience in the transportation industry and is the former champion for both the Florida Department of Transportation’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Focused Safety and Complete Streets Implementation Initiatives. His presentation will include context of how the State of Florida got to where it is with the existing safety challenges, the safety implications of transportation design and opportunities to improve the safety of the transportation network going forward.
