Safe Streets – Oldsmar Safety Walk Audit

Forward Pinellas and the City of Oldsmar have partnered on a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Safety Study. The study aims to develop recommendations that address safety issues identified through data collection and concerns brought forward by the Community. As part of this study, a walking safety audit will be conducted.

The objective of the walk audit is to develop a better understanding of where there are safety concerns through observation of the corridor and its users; through assessment of the street, sidewalks, crossings and other features; and through listening and learning from the diverse perspectives and knowledge of the group.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 4th from 7:30 am to noon.

WHAT TO EXPECT: We will begin with a short discussion about the purpose and goals of this audit and then visit 3 locations in Oldsmar to walk the corridors/intersections and note safety issues we observe. At the end, we will reconvene and briefly discuss findings. Please wear comfortable shoes.
