~~ The county’s long range transportation plan is available for your review and comment ~~
Pinellas County, FL — As a metropolitan planning organization, Forward Pinellas determines what transportation projects should receive state and federal funding in Pinellas County with its long range transportation plan (LRTP). The Advantage Pinellas 2050 LRTP is a strategic plan to improve mobility, accessibility, and economic opportunity countywide. The final drafted plan is now available for your review and comment! Read the 2050 LRTP.
Through an extensive planning and analysis process, Advantage Pinellas utilizes the most recent demographic data from the decennial Census and community land use plans to project future development, most recent project cost estimates coming from the current inflationary climate and incorporates public feedback through robust community engagement efforts over the past two years. Key themes include economic opportunity, safe mobility, strong communities, accessible regional connections and the efficient movement of people and goods.
The plan will go to the Forward Pinellas Board for approval on November 13, 2024. This is your chance to review the drafted plan and provide final comment by November 13.
