Are you concerned about getting around safely? Do you have an interest in how we address traffic congestion, bike path development and safety, or the ability to easily travel? This is your chance to serve as an advocate and get involved in what happens in your community! The Forward Pinellas Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers to serve on the committees.
Committee members provide direction on issues, plans and policies that create a safer, more equitable, accessible Pinellas County. Forward Pinellas seeks diverse representation on our committees which reflect the geographic and demographic diversity of our county. Committee members have diverse knowledge and expertise and work alongside professionals from various state and local governments to make recommendations to the Forward Pinellas Board.

Responsibilities of BPAC members include advocating, practicing, and promoting bicycling and walking safety. The CAC serves as a gathering space for public input on the plans and programs of Forward Pinellas.
Typical committee meeting times are as follows:
- Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) – Third Monday of each month from 8:30 – 10:30 am in downtown Clearwater.
- Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) – Fourth Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in downtown Clearwater.
How to Apply
Applications are being accepted until filled. Applicants must be residents of Pinellas County and commit to physically attend monthly meetings in-person. Representatives of each committee serve a maximum of two four-year terms. Complete the application online HERE.
