~~Forward Pinellas launches survey to shape the vision of their community~~
Ever wish there were more opportunities to bike in Downtown St. Pete? Maybe you live nearby and would like a way to safely access and enjoy downtown? Or maybe you would like an easier drive from your work to museums? Now is the time for your voice to be heard! Forward Pinellas is launching the Downtown St. Petersburg Mobility Study in partnership with the City of St. Petersburg and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Take a five-minute survey about how you travel to and around Downtown St. Petersburg and the transportation issues you see.
The Downtown St. Petersburg Mobility Study will help us understand how we can improve our transportation network to meet the community’s needs for improved access, connectivity and mobility, while preserving our mix of institutions, jobs, services, arts and culture. The Downtown St. Petersburg Mobility Study is designed to engage the entire community to help define a vision for mobility in the greater Downtown area, look at ways to improve mobility, livability and economic vitality and identify and prioritize projects and programs that will benefit the community.
The study will identify how the community envisions transportation, connectivity and accessibility in the greater Downtown area tomorrow, and in the future.

We know there is a lot happening in and around the Downtown area and will work with other agencies conducting studies to ensure we understand what they are hearing. We want to engage residents, workers and visitors in a way that is easy for you to let us know what you think and see how your ideas are guiding the study’s projects and programs.
Throughout the project, there will be several opportunities for residents to get involved, including neighborhood outreach to communities and businesses, interactive surveys, and even social media contests. We recognize that people are traveling differently right now. We welcome your thoughts on your interactions with Downtown both before COVID-19 and what you are seeing today.
Your feedback will be used by the study team to help identify mobility challenges and problems in Downtown, key findings and ideas for improvement projects and setting priorities. Some of these improvements will be short-term and others will be longer-term. Your voice is critical to help shape the future of our downtown, including what mobility looks like for everyone.
