Over the past two years, your input has helped us craft a 20-year plan for Pinellas County’s transportation future. Now, we need your final thoughts as the Forward Pinellas Board prepares to adopt that plan.
Advantage Pinellas is the long range transportation plan (LRTP) for Pinellas County. The LRTP is required for a community to receive state and federal transportation funding and identifies how that funding will be spent for the next 20 years and on which projects.
Forward Pinellas has developed the Advantage Pinellas Plan to fund transportation projects between now and 2045. This draft plan is reflective of the extensive public outreach conducted in the last two years, while also fitting within the constraints of the various funding sources available to us. We are now asking for final public comments on this draft before the Forward Pinellas Board takes action to adopt the plan at a public hearing at the board meeting on November 13.
Please review the maps and tables summarizing the transportation projects proposed for inclusion in the 2045 Advantage Pinellas cost feasible plan and direct any comments or questions to Chelsea Favero at cfavero@forwardpinellas.org before 5 p.m. on November 12. Comments may also be provided in person at the public hearing, held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13 at 315 Court Street, Clearwater.
Thank you for playing a part in the development of a transportation plan for our community that will help us further realize the advantages of being in Pinellas County
