The Public Participation Plan for a Common Vision
We want to hear your thoughts on Forward Pinellas’s new Public Participation Plan. As the Pinellas Planning Council and Metropolitan Planning Organization, Forward Pinellas creates transportation and redevelopment plans and projects for Pinellas County. These plans and projects are designed to enable seamless transportation and redevelopment that provides opportunity for people and communities to thrive. In our work, we partner with 25 local governments to create plans and fund transportation priorities on behalf of nearly 975,000 residents, the business community, and more than 15 million visitors. Thus, it is our responsibility to gather a common vision from our community, making sure that we hear from all voices that shape our diverse county.
The Public Participation Plan is our guide for how to engage with the public and use your ideas and feedback in future transportation and redevelopment plans. The plan provides a list of tools and techniques for how we will gather feedback from the public. It also includes performance measures to let us know if our activities are meaningful. This way, we can meet the needs and interests of our diverse communities and residents.
